Dragon Scribbles

I LOVE dragons.

They are probably my favorite animal, both fantasy animal and real animal (yes I know they aren't real, what I mean by that is that I love animals that are referred to as dragons, ie: olms, komodo dragons, chinese water dragons, sea dragons...etc)

With as much as I love them, I really haven't drawn many dragons at all.  I can probably count on one hand the number of dragon pictures I have done in my entire life.  I tend to avoid them because I like them so much.  They are so complex and I am a very simple artist, simplifying this creature would just ruin it in my opinion.  And I really do admire the artists that can successfully simplify the dragon figure and make it look amazing. :)   My favorite style of drawing is scribbling, it's just so much fun.  So, I decided to scribble out this dragon head and neck.  I am pretty pleased with it.  I added the yellow color because I plan on printing it out and putting it on my wall in my yellow, black and white themed room.

And of course, what good is design of mine if it's not slapped on an article of clothing?
In my opinion, I see this on a white tank top with a black or grey open zip up hoodie over it.  Couldn't find a stock photo of a black or grey hoodie over a plain white tank or else I would have used that.  This will have to do for now as an example.

I would totally wear this. :)

rLOVEution 2012

Here are a few stickers I have designed for the 2012 election.

As you can see I'm a Ron Paul supporter.  Don't like it?  Go read the Constitution again.

Anyway, I plan on potentially redoing these, tweaking the colors a bit so they are a little more visually appealing, etc..  I also plan to design shirts centered around this design... maybe a hoodie as well.

I have so much fun making these things.
I would love to be able to actually manifest these things that I design and sell them... or hell even just GIVE them away!  That would be the ultimate awesome for me.

Chem-trails Shirts and Truth Poster

The other day I was talking with my sister about my recent interest in designing t-shirts, especially those promoting InfoWars...
One of the things she finds the most interesting on the site is the information on Chem-trails... No, not Con-trails... Chem-trails.  She asked me if I could design a shirt on the topic.. I said of course!
Here are my two designs so far.. This first one I am not the happiest with.. it gets the point across and is pretty bold, but there's just something about it.. I had a really hard time finding the right placement of the image and the words..

This second one, I enjoy a lot more, and actually the more I look at it, the more I want to flip it around and make the front the back and have just infowars.com on the front of the shirt centered, but lowered down a bit so it's on the chest area...
they aren't the best designs in the world, but I had a lot of fun with them, and that's really all that matters.
I plan on making a few more, possibly one where there are multiple planes flying in the actual grid formation with the trails making a pattern.. It's something to play around with.

Another project I had quickly put out was this poster I just designed a few days ago. I had wanted to make another 9-11 Truth tshirt design, but decided that the layout would make it difficult to place on a shirt so I made it into a poster.  In the future, I will play around with this concept and see if I can come up with something a bit more versatile that can be depicted on a shirt or a bumper sticker or something.. We shall see..
Here's the poster.  Again, not the best design in the world, but yet again I had fun making it. :)

9-11 Truth Shirts

You may or may not be aware that I am a 9-11 truth advocate.
To get more information on this topic feel free to Google the subject, there are tons of informative sites out there. My personal favorite is http://www.infowars.com

I have designed a few 9-11 truth t-shirts.
here is what I have so far, enjoy:

my personal favorite
The top row I made first with large logos taking up the entire front of the shirt..
Then I figured it might be too big, so I shrunk down the logos and moved them to the bottom left corner for a more artistic look.
The bottom most shirt is one that I tweaked just a little more and I actually really like a lot.
I chose to put infowars.com on the back of the shirts only because they are my favorite website for this information.  Obviously the website can be changed if need be.
The blank t-shirt pic was downloaded from psdgraphics.com

The Hand Struggle

Hands have always been the hardest body part for me to draw in a realistic way.
Recently I created a digital painting of a girl and a dragon and completely butchered the girl's hand.  After a thorough critique from a fellow artist, I got back on the painting and redrew the entire hand.. It still isn't perfect, the proportions are still completely off, however I am happier with it than I was before.  I may continue to tweak it in the future, as I can still see there is a problem I just can't seem to connect what's in my brain with the tablet and the image on the screen. :(
Anyway, here are both versions for comparison:

If anymore improvements are made in the future, I will be sure to share.

Bamboo Fun - Wedding Painting

I just got my very first Wacom tablet! :D Super excited about it.
I wanted to share in this post my first ever digital painting done using the Wacom Bamboo Fun in Photoshop CS4.
It is a work in progress, and I have no idea when I will find the time to finish it. I outlined a picture of one of my wedding portraits and built the coloring up layer by layer using the picture as a reference.  It is merely a practice piece but I am a little proud of it non the less considering I have never done anything like this completely from start to finish on the computer. :)
Please full view to get the full effect.

My Tattoos

I thought I would compose a post entirely about my tattoos, which by the way I designed. :)
I currently have three, the latest one being one I just had done about two hours ago.  I thought up and drew out all three of them myself and with little to no modification on the tattoo artists' part, had them permanently etched into my skin.

The first one I designed when I was 17 and made it official for my 18th birthday present from my mom.
At the time I had little to no reason to actual have a fetus tattooed on my hip other than the "cool" and "different" factor, the tattoo artist admitted that it was his first time doing a tattoo of that subject matter, and I have received many compliments since.. Unfortunately, the more I grow to love my fetus, the less it looks like a fetus and more of a blob of colors.. I guess that's what you get when you let the artist tattoo the outline purple instead of black. :(

The next  on I got a year later when my best friend at the time wanted to get a tattoo of a moon and a star on her wrist but was a little scared to go alone..
So me being a good friend, designed her tattoo then designed a "matching" sun tattoo for myself that way we could go through the pain together. Hers went on her left wrist and mine on my right.  Well, we aren't close friends anymore, in fact it's been about a year since we even spoke to each other, but life goes on.  This tat gave me a bit of trouble.. the center of the sun was supposed to be inked yellow, however about a day after I got it it began turning orange-ish pink.. then once the rest of the tattoo scabbed over and healed, the middle formed a huge hard as a rock ugly scab and eventually fell of leaving behind no ink at all, only a gaping hole in my arm.. It sucked. When it finally did heal I opted not to get it fixed  because the gradation of the orange to my flesh color actually looks better than the yellow did.

And finally my latest tat. The Jesus fish with the Bible verse Colossians 3:17 inside of it, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."  I thought it was fitting. It's also a good size tattoo, taking up about 1/3rd of the length of my left arm.  I designed this honestly only about 3 weeks ago. This is also the only one so far that the tattoo artist didn't modify AT ALL. He literally ran my drawing through the machine and printed out to stencil on my arm as it was, which I thought was pretty impressive. There isn't really a fun story to go along with this one yet, but we haven't started the healing process yet either.. I'm sure I'll have something go wrong as I did in the past.

As for the future, I honestly have to say that there will be more.. Not sure when or what yet, but I have a few places picked out on my body (ankles, back of neck, ect), that have yet to be filled. :)
